Harvest 2020

A very big...

The donations we received for Harvest were phenomenal and very much a welcomed donation to St. Paul's Pantry.

The winning class was Yew Class who donated over 170 items of food.

St. Paul's Pantry continued to give food to those in need throughout the national lockdown when we saw a huge increase in the number of families needing food. We continue to work with many agencies in the local area to ensure that emergency food reaches the people who need it. We have welcomed many new volunteers from the local area who have helped us to make parcels and deliver to people’s homes, especially those who are self-isolating or are physically or mentally vulnerable. It continues to be very busy here at the foodbank and all your donations are certainly going to make a big difference to many. Thank you very much."

A message from Paul's Pantry:

"We are so grateful for the amazing amount of food that you have collected between you. It is currently in quarantine due to covid-secure guidelines so it will be weighed at the end of the week! A huge thank you to you all and on behalf of all the service users who receive the emergency food parcels. We really appreciate your support."

As a school, you donated 348.05 kg which will provide approximately 320 meals for the local community. That is amazing! Well done!

What we did in school:

Some classes did some special baking to celebrate Harvest this year!

Year 1 learnt about fruit and vegetables and what Harvest is all about! Then, they made fruit cake!

Miss Vickers made apple crumbles with her class, they learnt about the Harvest of fruit and veg in the UK
