Maths
Summer 1
In maths this half term, we will be continuing our work in statistics and will look at how to read and interpret line graphs as well creating some of our own. Following on from this, we will be solving problems involving ratio where missing values can be found by using interger multiplication and division facts. This will conclude by applying ratio to the scale factor of shapes.
For every 2 children in a playground wearing black shoes there are 5 children wearing brown shoes. There are 18 children wearing black shoes. How many children are wearing brown shoes?
We are also going to be working hard to learn and consolidate our times tables. Children should be able to recall all of their times tables, up to 12 x 12, by year 6.
Keep on practising those times tables here
