Science

Summer 2

This half term we will be finding out about plants. We will be investigating the structure of plants and trees and what they need to grow well. We will be identifying common plants and trees as well as identifying deciduous and evergreen leaves. We will be planting our own seeds and watch them grow over the weeks and measuring and recording their growth.

We will be focusing on developing our scientific skills throughout the topic and each lesson will start with an enquiry questions. 

By the end of the lesson we will be able to answer our enquiry question and be able to justify our answer using our knowledge from the lesson.

Our key priorities for Science have been developed by the staff and the children and underpin our science teaching and learning at Beechwood.
