Year 5 Visit from Mersey Forest 2021
On the 18th March 2021, year 5 pupils took place in a learning workshop led by Will, a community forester working with the Mersey Forest.
The children discussed the importance of trees in our local and global environment, learning about how trees take in carbon dioxide and give out oxygen during photosynthesis, discussing trees as habitats for wildlife and how trees can be great fun!
The children also planted some willow and yew trees on the school grounds, and some fruit trees on the school field. See if you can spot our new trees when you are on the school grounds!
