India

During this unit we will begin by using maps and globes to locate the UK and India and will introduce how to use a key. We will be labelling countries on a UK map and begin to explore capital cities and their purpose. Children will be exploring the weather in India and comparing it to England. Children will be looking at physical and human features in the region of Kerala in India and comparing these to Crewe in England. 

Moving into Spring 2, chidlren will be looking at life in India by exploring food, daily life, fruits, animals and homes. 

Finally children will be exploring the question: 'Would you prefer to live in India or England?'
