Behaviour
At Beechwood we have 3 school rules- Ready, Respectful and Safe.
Children are asked to follow these rules at all times and are rewarded when they do. Rewards include praise, stickers and certificates that are given to children regularly. We also keep parents and carers informed of good behaviour through telephone calls and postcards home. Each Friday there is an online celebration assembly presented by Mrs Harper where parents and carers can watch to see if their child recieved a celebration certificate.
Alongside these rewards, we also use a Class Dojo system where children are rewarded with behaviour Dojos throughout the day for following the school rules. These Dojos are added up throughout the year and parents and carers can access their child's individual profile to see how well they are doing.
For more detail on how we manage behaviour at Beechwood please read the schools Expectations policy on this website or speak with the class teacher in school.
If you would like any advice on managing behaviour at home the school SENCos, Miss Geary and Miss Moore, can signpost you to local support groups.
