Playleaders

The school Playleaders have an important role which is to play alongside the other children, help with any problems on the playground and to get everyone involved in physical activities on the playground during lunchtime. They have been selected to support the reception children each day during their lunch time break

They are responsible for ensuring a fun, active, stimulating and safe place for children to freely play, as well as leading specific activities. They introduce playground games that may be new or unfamiliar to the younger children and support children’s confidence in taking part. This role also involves role modelling teamwork and provides students with the opportunity to share their communication and problem solving skills with the younger children.
