Prefects
As Senior Prefects and Prefects, the pupils in Year Six have one of the most important roles in school.
They are excellent role models to their peers, have a vast range of responsibilities and help teachers with many activities around the school.
Children who become Senior Prefects or Prefects in the first half term of the academic year, have the opportunity to run for Head Boy and Head Girl. To run for these important positions, the children must prepare and deliver a speech to the whole school. The whole school community then had a democratic vote for the 4 pupils that they would like to represent the school as Head Boy, Head Girl and their deputies.
To become a prefect, children must:
-
Demonstrate excellent behaviour;
-
Read at least three times per week at home;
-
Complete all homework set;
-
Be in the correct school uniform at all times;
-
Have good attendance and punctuality.
The prefects are supported by Miss Roots and Mrs Lockett.
