Eco Warriors
We’ve achieved our Green Flag Award!
The Eco Schools Green flag award is an international accreditation that has recognised and rewarded young people’s environmental actions for over 25 years. Well done to all those involved. What an amazing achievement!
More Great News… The Eco Warriors also won 2nd and 3rd place in the CE Clean Air Day competition and received a whopping £150 worth of Amazon vouchers which will be spent on more Environmentally friendly resources in school. A huge congratulations to all those involved!
Our Eco Warrior team includes representatives from Year Five and Six who really care about the environment and recycling.
These pupils will be helping to improve the environment within school and the local community. The team will meet regularly to discuss current issues such as litter, energy and healthy living and any changes they would like to make.
They will complete regular environmental reviews across the school. This will give them an idea of the actions our school needs to take to become more sustainable and environmentally friendly.

Energy Saving Tip of the term: Time your showers. If you fit a shower timer in your bathroom, you could save up to £7 per person each year by cutting just one minute off every shower. This will also help you get ready faster and get to school or appointments in plenty of time.
Recycling tip of the term: Keep a carrier bag in the hallway or next to your front door: this way, you can collect any junk mail and put it in the recycling.
