Keeping Healthy
At Beechwood we are working very hard to become a healthier school.
The children are encouraged to make healthy choices of food and snacks during the school day and are encouraged to bring a healthy snack from home for their break. Fruit is always available in school.
Pupils are also encouraged to participate in a variety of sports and exercises, including the Golden Mile. Children in Key Stage Two also all have their own activity tracker to count their number of steps each day.
We are continuing to promote the '5 a Day' campaign throughout the school, helping the pupils to meet the goverment target to maintain a healthy balanced diet.
