Mission Possible

History - Maya Civilisation 

In summer, we will be further exploring the lifestyle of Maya people. We will be finding out who the ancient Maya are, where they lived and what they did. Additionally, we will be comparing the food that they ate to what we eat today and investigated what religious beleifs that they had. The children will be given a knowledge organiser and we will revisit this information during lessons. 

Art 

In art, we are looking at Gustav Klimt, we will be looking at his art work and discussing our opinions on these. We will be using clay to create a tree in the style of Klmits art. First, we will develop our skills using clay and investigating what tools we can use to create patterns in the clay. Then, we will design our trees individual and then go into groups to create a group design. We will then create our trees and paint them. Our final pieces will be on display in the hall on Friday 1st May between 2:45 and 3:15. Please come along to see them.
